A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has gone beyond over one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately 500 volunteers eu news france are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a understandable way.
The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
